What is conference interpreting?
Conference (simultaneous) interpreting deals with oral communication. An interpreter works with a sound-proof booth, a microphone, and a pair of earphones. The speaker and the interpreter speak simultaneously, moreover, the interpreter speaks in the first person and adopts the tone, delivery, and convictions of the speaker. A good simultaneous interpretation is mimetic enough to create an illusion of non-existing language barrier.
I provide Czech-Polish simultaneous interpretation.
Choose conference interpreting if you set up:
- a business, academic, or press conference
- a business presentation
- a summit or negotiation
- a training
- a course
- a lecture
How to order conference interpretation:
Contact me and describe your expectations and conditions. We will pick a service which best suits you. At least one week before your event starts, provide me with scenarios, transcripts of speeches, a list of speakers, or any references you find useful. The more I receive, the more fluent the interpretation will be.
How much is Czech-Polish conference interpreting?
You will be invoiced per day (up to 8 working hours = 8,000 CZK + VAT) or half-day (up to 4 hours = 4,500 CZK), plus overtime, traveling, and accommodation costs.
What is consecutive interpreting?
All you need for consecutive interpreting is a room, a speaker, an audience, and a skilled interpreter with a piece of paper and a pen; plus, twice as much time as for simultaneous interpreting, since the speaker and the interpreter alternate. However, consecutive interpreting is cheaper and easier to arrange.
I provide Czech-Polish-English consecutive interpretation of:
- business negotiations and presentations
- company meetings
- courses and training
- business dinners and receptions
- factory guided tours
- trade fairs
How to order consecutive interpretation:
Let me know about your preferences and conditions. A general description of your event will suffice, but any detailed materials are welcomed.
